Oil refining

Hydration Degumming Process

The process to remove gum impurities is called degumming.The gum impurities in crude oil mainly is phospholipid, so the degumming is usually called dephophorization in many oil plants. The most widely-used method for degumming in oil plants is hydration degumming.

Alkali Refining Deacidification Process

The process to remove FFA is called deacidification.The oil plants usually adopt alkali deacidification and steam distillation deacidification.Alkali deacidification is also called chemical deacidification/refining, steam distillation deacidification is called physical deacidification/refining.

Decoloring Process

The main function of decoloring process is to remove oil pigment,residual soap grain and metal ions.Under negative pressure,the mechanical mixing method combined with steam mixing will improve the decoloring effect.

Deodorization Process

Deodorization process can remove odor components, FFA, peroxide, heat-sensitive pigment, residual pesticide and PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) etc.So it can improve oil smoking point and stability,perfect oil aroma, light oil color. Thus,deodorization plays an important role in oil refining.
