The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the joint statement of the Chinese and Indonesian governments stated that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in key trade areas such as trade, infrastructure, production capacity, industry, investment and financing, and support cooperation in emerging areas such as e-commerce and the Internet economy. The Chinese side encourages enterprises to increase imports of Indonesian
palm oil and other products in accordance with market principles. Indonesia is welcome to participate in the first China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai this November.
In addition, the two sides will promote the use of bilateral currency trade and investment in the settlement of local currency and promote the facilitation of economic and trade cooperation. The two sides agreed to hold the 6th China-Indonesia Energy Forum during the year to strengthen cooperation in power, oil and gas, coal, new energy and renewable energy, and would like to jointly promote the early signing of an agreement on cooperation in the research and development of nuclear energy for peaceful uses.
